Seismic Retrofit of Building Structural Wall

ECC Panels are assembled to form a light but ductile structural shear wall between columns and beams of existing multistory RC frame structure. The wall acts as braces in the frame structure. During strong earthquake, wall undergoes inelastic deformation, and energy dissipated during this inelastic process, which further improves the seismic resistance of the whole structure. After fulfilling its function, the damaged shear wall is removed and replaced by a new one.
